Say my prey has 1 pool, and a vamp with 0 blood and Fame. I attempt
to bleed, my prey attempts to block, I play Psychomachia, sending the
Famous vamp to torpor and ousting my prey. What happens? I believe
the bleed fizzles, I don't get the edge, and I can't play Freak Drive.
Consider the same setup, but instead of bleeding, I take an undirected
action, and my prey is ousted mid-action. Does my new prey also get a
chance to block? I think not, but I'm not really sure.
Thanks,
Ira
Correct.
Well, assuming no one else bothers to block with Eagle's Sight or whatnot.
(If someone blocks, you could get to play superior Freak Drive.)

He would if he hadn't yet gotten a chance to block.

Thank you for all the helpful answers, and I'm sorry I didn't find
this post on my own!

REVERSAL:
The above bit on Freak Drive contradicts an earlier answer, and, in the interest
of keeping things consistent and avoiding unnecessary complexity, we'll go with
that earlier answer:

So, back to the example bleed above, yeah, the action would fizzle, but
(assuming it reaches resolution unblocked) it is still successful (by definition
of "successful action", namely: resolves unblocked).
So you could still play Freak Drive at normal Fortitude to untap after a
successful action that fizzles at resolution.
