Following up to myself to repeat what I'd written in the other thread:
Smollett's father was Jewish but his mother was not. In a mixed marriage,
most Jewish denominations consider that the mother passes along her
religion to the child. In Reform Judaism, in a mixed marriage, the child
would have to be raised Jewish to be considered Jewish. Smollet himself
graduated from a Catholic high school. Therefore, no one would conclude
he's Jewish from being raised in a mixed marriage. Of all the crap written
about Smollett, he's never claimed to have been raised Jewish.

Solo got trashed pretty good but I liked it. I thought it was one of the
more entertaining star wars movies since the original trilogy.

I had no idea who Smollett was before reading about this supposed attack and
agree with you on Glover. I looked up pics side by side there is a bit of
resemblance when both have a beard. Definitely not twins tho.

I'm guessing the cops leveraged the two Nigerians they arrested in this case
and, since they released them, they likely flipped on Smollett
orchestrating this hoax.

It makes zero sense that they were arrested Wednesday AS THE ATTACKERS as
police apparently never believed they were, then released without charges
Thursday. They're still persons of interest; I guess police don't feel
they've given complete statements yet.

How could Smollett have put them up to whatever it was if they're
Nigerian? If Smollett lied about the attack, the attack itself was never
staged for security cameras as Smollett went off camera during the
period of the attack. If Smollett had wanted to stage the attack on
security camera, he'd have needed two white actors.

There was an earlier report that cops had raided the home of the two
Nigerians, so it appears that cops were investigating the two of them
for bringing props to the scene. It sounds like, despite what the police
spokesman was telling the media that Smollett was still being treated
like the victim, cops had come to believe they were investigating a hoax
at least since the middle of the week.

From what I read, those two Nigerian brothers are the same guys who the
cops released fuzzy video stills of as "persons of interest". They were
able to trace their movements via other cameras in the area and that's how
they found them.

Smollett didn't them up at all. They're black and Smollett claims his
attackers were white. They were aso acquaintances of Smollett and had
appeared as extras on Empire

Since the cops arrested them then released them after saying their
interrogation led to "new evidence", I was only guessing they gave Smollett
up. I bet he orchestrating the whole lie but again, that's just my guess.
