Hello Everyone!
In October of last year I was lucky enough to purchase my very own Sam Hillborne. I sold my cross-check (too small 56cm for a 6' tall guy) and car, and I have not regretted my decision one bit. Every day I arrive at my destination with a huge grin on my face because every ride is so pleasant. I was afraid of getting such a large 60cm frame at first, but it turns out to be just fine. I finally managed to get some photos up on flickr so enjoy. Hopefully I'll get some better pics of Sam and I cruising along the Monterey Bay coastal bike trail soon.

Looking good! Nice that you picked it up directly from the source!

Thanks David and Jim, Living only a few hours away I am very lucky to have been able to make one visit to investigate and one to pick up. The Saturday team rocked. Harry and Vince spent quite a bit of time with me, talking bike/part talk. When I went to pick up, Jay was super helpful, and Keven let me see his bike to make comparisons. Oh how I wish RBW was my LBS :)

Hi Steve, A belated welcome to the world of car-free Riv-ness. I'm car-free too but I ride a cargo bike most of the time. The Riv is my "sports car" that doesn't get driven as much as it should. Yer Sam's a beauty. The cream fenders go great with the green. I think you should get out and take those Monterey Bay Bike Trail pics this weekend. If nothing else it'll remind those of us west of the Cascades what sunny and warm looks like.

Great looking Sam. I really like the green color they are painting those now. Actually, all the colors of the Sam have been pretty nice looking. I have a 48 Sam in orange and have to say it is the most comfortable bike I have ever owned.  I rode 60 miles this past Sunday and never once felt pain, either back, butt, or neck, the whole time.  Just a great bike.  Have fun on it.
