RBWOB friends in Vegas?

I'm flying to Las Vegas, NV, next month (Dec 21-31) for an excursion into Death Valley. I'm always interested in meeting and riding with locals. I'm also in search of a trustworthy bike shop or local person/business in Vegas who would be willing to receive the UPS shipment containing my bike and gear, then store the box for me for 8-9 days until I come back from the wilderness. Any local guidance would be much appreciated!

Makes sense of why you were so quick to know that there is no train service to Vegas, not that you wouldn't know that from your vast store of general knowledge.
