Got the e-mail that the rebates were up, and immediately returned to the sale for a few more things. MUSA pants, the Campy front changer, a dirt drop stem for my Bombadil Bullmoose/Noodle bar-swap option and added some small non-sale things while I was at it. Two packages from Rivendell en route at one time - life is good.

Too bad they sold out of those brand V panniers I had my eye on... the grid grey ones might have also been a good match for my AHH... oh well, I would have felt guilty using my rebates on zero-margin items anyhow. :-)

Me too. A small rebate led to some resupplying on my favorite things, like Jack Brown Greens. Glad I made the order.

I'd feel a bit bad using my rebate for sale things too. I put in a small order pre-sale, and two more in-sale, so I guess I'm doing my bit to help. I'll save the rebate to ease the pain of returning to full-price shopping next week!

I'm glad Riv is distilling their product line. I've recently felt they were spread a little thin, but I sure hope they don't need to embrace the full compliment of retail gimmicks to keep afloat. They have always offered good stuff at fair prices, and one would hope that's always good enough.

I felt guilty about buying anything that was on sale, actually.   But, there were some things that I'd have waited on to buy later, that the sale goaded me into spending a bit now (which is when they needed it).

I really liked the khaki, but not as keen on the nylon bits as the leather...  the olive ones w/ leather, I like the leather trim, but not the olive color so much...    I'd kept hoping that, once I'm ready to buy 'em, that they might have khaki&leather ones available.   When I saw the V ones on sale, though, I wish I could have gone ahead and bought 'em to set aside until I needed them, but, it wasn't really an ideal time for me to buy them.   SO... when they sold out, I didn't feel guilty for not buying them.   Same w/ the Bullmoose.   I'm still stunned it was on the cut list.   I can see thinning color selections, etc., but, the Bullmoose... it seems as if the Hunqa and the Bomba have lost a keen option...

But, Riv has to do what it has to do....

I'm not sure I understand how this is working.
How does one see all the purchases they've made in 2011.
For that matter, all the purchased they've made ever?
thanks

Im glad I took the advice to "shop early for best selection".
Looks like platracks and slicersacks are gone now, and the twin strut
top rack price is now the same as the regular one (when the sale
started it was even lower, which seemed unreal).

"but, the Bullmoose... it seems as if the Hunqa and the Bomba have lost a keen option..."

I saw something very cool and very bubb-moose-ish at RBW on Saturday. It made a lot of sense, and maybe it presages something new. We'll see, eh?
