Slickersack Improvement

I've been using a Slickersack on and off for a couple months. One of the reasons I don't use it sometimes is that it can't be easily put back on the bike when it's full of stuff. The strap/snap configuration it comes with is easy to remove. And it's easy to install if the bag... er... um... sack is empty, but if it's full of stuff it's a pain to get a hand in there to press on the back of the snap from inside the bag. 

It seemed that a "turn button" fastener would make my Slickersack go on that much easier and that would in turn make it more useful. Once upon a time I ran a marine canvas shop so I had all the stuff laying around but it's available in any chandlery for a few dollars.

Wow,  that is impressive.  I doubt we have a chandlery in brooklyn which is odd when you think about the docks here but might look into this upgrade this summer if I get some spare time.

Excellent upgrade. I've been perturbed by that very problem on my SlickerSack. I was thinking even buttons would be better than those dang snaps sometimes.

100x better than the velcro I would have moved to.  Time to put that on the DIY to-do list.
