Here's a PDF of the Holiday Flyer from eight years ago. It's located in the latest pre-Thanksgiving Blug, and...eight years ago. I have one of these lying around somewhere, and I'm just a bit stunned that that much time has passed. There's some neat things in it, including a hatchet, and evidence that Meisha has been at Rivendell at least eight years! Enjoy.

I have the print copy somewhere too. Do you know why the prose is
sometimes a bit odd (though perfectly readable)? No letter E is used
anywhere. Must have taken a lot of thought (& edits) to put
together.

That flyer pre-dates my Riv-awareness, but it's fun to read. Thanks for sharing.

I recall these flyers and other such publications well, as I read, reread, and studied them intensely back then. But has it really been 8 years???? Holy cow!!!

The dropped 'e' thing was a...thing. Kinda like the dropped 'first letter of words'. Grant's kinda funny that way sometimes :)

This must have been published right before I stumbled upon Riv when I was getting into bike commuting and scouring the inter webs for bike info.  I remember reading everything on the site (is it archived somewhere?  I forget what it used to look like) and feeling it was exactly what I wanted from riding a bike.   I'm glad (perhaps Thankful is a more appropriate word for today) that I came across Riv right at the beginning so I didn't have to learn a lot of lessons the hard way.

Happen to have a copy, although it was also before my Riv awareness.  Found it on eBay.  Along with a copy of the one from 2003 (Hiawathan Holiday II written in Kalevata).

A good way to wind up Thanksgiving.  Especially as it is sleeting/snowing outside right now.  No more bike rides today.
