I will be at CarolinaCon that day with some of the FALE guys, where I'll probably learn how to hack into something or watch someone else do it.

Hadn't realized that was that same weekend. With some PYPTUG members
going to carolinacon, should I cancel the workshop this saturday?
Unless I hear back from some of you saying that you will attend if I
go ahead with the workshop this weekend at Fablocker... Theme would be
using LCD screens with the raspberry pi. Let me know today.

I wouldn't cancel it on just my account, unless there are other people going or wanting to go too that didn't know about it or know it was this weekend.
There are a lot of good talks (http://carolinacon.org/#Attend) but it's a hacker con or very informal information security con organzied by the local 2600 groups in the state region. It's like a DefCon but think DefCon 20 years ago before it was commercialized and industry sponsored. A lot of security professionals and penetration testers attend as well as 2600 members and programmers and admins with an interest in security. Python is used a lot for the purposes of the talk, a lot a of grey hat stuff is discussed. So it may be interesting to some people, but its not the same kind of hacking per say. I had fun at it last year and some people from other hackerspaces (Charlotte and Durham) attended it as well.
