Importing all SQLAlchemy Models (question about the Cookbook article)

I'm trying to follow the instructions under the "Importing all SQLAlchemy Models" heading. As ridiculous as this sounds, I got it working immeadiately (when I started my app in a pshell, 'model' was available in the global namespace), then shuffled around some of the lines in my __init__.py's main() function and haven't been able to get it working again.

Anyone else had success/failure with this approach? Any example code/apps beyond what's in the cookbook?
