When updating mail attribute via UpdateProfile, I am getting the following error message from OpenLDAP.

[LDAP: error code 64 - value of naming attribute 'mail' is not present in entry]

The entryDN has the following syntax where mail is part of userDN
mail:a...@xyz.com,ou=Users,dc=example,dc=com

Anyone face a similar problem?

Thanks.

Does your user have the mail attribute outside the "dn"?

Hi,

I have exactly the same error while registering a new user with a dn that does not contain any email adress (ex : cn=MYRANDOMCN,ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=tld)...

It says :
LDAP: error code 64 - value of naming attribute 'cn' is not present in entry

Any idea to fix it ?

Thanks
