If you are interested in credits, public lab will have an event this thursday for building a lot cost oil-detection kit. we are still thinking about what needs to be in the "kit", but the idea is that, using low cost electronics, regular people can build a simple machine for detecting and reporting oil pollution in their local waters and soil.

And if you like flying kites or making maps, we've got some monies from EPA to monitor urban waters and wetlands in new orleans. we haven't scheduled these mapping events of yet, but stay tuned.
