Thoroughly enjoyed watching this recent talk by Sadek and Guillame. Others might also. Worth watching the whole thing. (Apologies if was already posted and I missed it.)

Great job Sadek. If only I could hire you for my startup :-)

Irfan

ps: what is a good way to hire in Play2 experts ... my startup team and I are trying to come up to speed on Play2 and having a lot of fun but it'd be waaay better to have someone who is already an expert join our merry band. Would love to hear advice from folks (even if offline).

Since Play 2 was only released some weeks ago, I don't think there are very many Play 2 experts yet :)

Very nice talk. I wonder if the example you show, was available at the java-examples. I guess you show comet-live-monitoring, which is not available at java. Is this right? Is it impossible to do it in Java?

The goal of the comet-live-monitoring is to demonstrate Enumerators composition. If you check the example code it creates a multiplexed stream by composing declaratively the cpu/memory/rps streams.

Of course you can create the same app in Java with Play 2.0 but you can't have this elegant declarative composition. You will have to hardcode it using a very imperative style.
