I'm still learning about what makes a good prompt.  Some of my daily prompts are probably going to suck.  And some will be awesome.  And some will be both, depending on the person.  Suggest a prompt to try here, or let me know if one of them struck you as particularly good or bad.

I think that a good prompt might be, "What loving act did you give today? what loving act did you receive today?" I want to use peabrain to track things that strike me as loving about my husband -- to remember when I am feeling less than loved.

What about a mechanism that prompt based off of the day of the week, configured by the user?  I can't think of a user case now, but it may be a good reminder for people to report on something on some sort of frequency.

How about "Make a note of something you've always wanted to do: use the hashtag #todowish"? And then when it's accomplished, it can be noted by #accomplished. Then you can see all your long term achievements by comparing the #todowish against #accomplished!

I can definitely think of uses for a periodic prompt: one at the end of the work week: "How was your week, boss?", or one Sunday afternoon: "What is one takeaway from today's sermon?", etc. You could also set one at a random daily time, "It's 8:36pm - what are you doing?" :)

i just started so haven't gotten any prompts yet. but i'm thinking peabrain will be more of a creativity than productivity tool for me. so i'd love prompts that make me think.

i start most of my stories with people i see on the subway or street. maybe "describe in 7 adjectives the most memorable stranger you saw today." and stuff like "what was your best snarky comeback today?", "what color does today feel like; why?", or "who influenced you today?"

Here's an idea - you could sort prompts into 'general' prompts (journaling/etc - what you already have going) and then 'creative' prompts. Creative prompts could be single words - goal being to write 160 characters about/based on the word - or phrases or questions. There are a lot of prompts like that already going around on the internet; lists and such. :)

I like bentsai's idea.  So like at the end of every work day I'm trying to tag what my stress level was during that day.  But honestly some days I'm so frazzled I just forget.  But if I could schedule a prompt to hit me up every day around 6 maybe I'd get more traction.

I'm definitely interested in this idea.  In the meantime, can you try setting an alarm on your phone with these prompts to see if that works for you and report back?

You don't like being called McGoo?  :)

What is your favorite word today or this week?

or

What new word or phrase have you learned recently?

What habit will you focus on today?

What are three important things you will accomplish today?

Who will you contact today (or reach out to)?

What step will you take to combat your procrastination beast (you know what that is!)?

What are you proud of today?

What bothered you about today?

@backpat (what can you pat yourself on the back for today?)

-What was your biggest #regret today?
-What #mistake or mistakes did you make this week?
-What did you #lie about recently?

I know I seem morbid but I love tracking this kind of stuff.
