I got a couple of questions about IOS usage of the lib.
Anyone tried it out?
Anyone has clues on how to do this?

Cheers,
Gal.

The project includes XCode project files, and instructions for building are here:

Hi,

I use the lib on iOS.

My objective is the be able to fill programmatically form field and show the modified pdf on an iPad.

After some structural modification (like build_all script), i have implemented and updated the code of Jaroslaw (cf : https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/pdfhummus-interest-group/rM-WNn2PRjk%5B1-25-false%5D).

Currently i can affect value to every String field (not, checkbox),

But the fu****  iPad does not display fields from a form PDF, in a simple UIWebview.

So, how iOS user display there PDF ? with the classical UIWebview object or with other things ?

Regards,
ben

The built-in iOS PDF viewer is incapable of displaying any PDF annotations -- it's the only PDF viewer I've found that doesn't show annotations (why!?!).  So you have to flatten PDFs to get them to show up in the iOS viewer (which is probably a bit of work depending on what you're doing).

Do you know we can 'flatten' a pdf with pdfhummus ?

uiwebview wouldn't so. i think that it relies on Safari and it doesn't know how to display such forms.
i know that Adobe has an SDK for controlling the acorbat. wonder if they provide a view control as well.

I'm still working on this functionality to modify AcroForms.
Modifying /V key in a field is one thing, you need to update also apearance stream. If you only modify value in a field then it will show up only when you click on the field.
Otherwise it's invisible.
Can't tell about ios, I'm not working on it. I use this lib only on the desktop. But if thats possible use acrobat.
Regards,
Jaroslaw
