I wonder if Sundar Pichai knows about the existence of Panoramio. It would be great if he understood Panoramio is a platform he can develop and improve instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
If he was not speaking in the interview about Panoramio (or did he?), then he does not know the real meaning of Panoramio, and that is bad for Panoramio!
When the lower management the existence and importance of Panoramio denies as usual, then Sundar Pichai will never hear from Panoramio, and that is also bad for Panoramio!
Without a major advocate in the Google management the future of Panoramio looks very bad. Or has someone a different opinion?
I wonder if an English native speaker could write a short, precise message, which we could all copy & paste on Sundar Pichai account, putting forward how interested we are in keeping this photo site as it has always been and even improve it!!
.
Just wanted to confirm that the rumors are true -- I’m excited to be running Google’s Photos and Streams products! It’s important to me that these changes are properly understood to be positive improvements to both our products andhow they reach users.
245 reactions and not one to remind him of Panoramio :-(
Many of the Panoramio users have a Google+ account, but they do not see the unique opportunity to come into contact with Bradley Horowitz, and him so point to the sad fate of Panoramio.
Bradley Horowitz is even one of the Google managers, who responds on comments from users, as I have seen in his Google+ account.
Probably, the Panoramio users want to die silently. Only so is the silence to be understood.
Bradley Horowitz
would certainly understand the Panoramio users.
Look in his Google+ profile

There are over 4 million users of the awesome Google photo website Panoramio, that have been cut off from any communication with Google since September last year. As one of the forum moderators I still cannot answer the users anything else as "Google is not on speaking terms with it´s users any more". I would highly appreciate it if you as photo "boss" could shed some light over this in the Panoramio forum. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/panoramio-questions-support
+1 HermanAnd I don't think it's completely off topic. This tread went off topic with Views being brought into it but it is a legitimate question where the viewcount of Views comes from. If it's mostly GM, how come the viewcount is significant higher than when Panoramio delivered the pictures to GM???And I'm sorry, John, but I have to repeat what I've already said: so far the high(er) viewcount is the only argument Google has in promoting Views but the site itself is inferior to Panoramio in numerous areas. And despite all the promises I have little hope this will improve.
