This is a capital idea. How I would love to attend this workshop if I could afford the air fare! I've been preparing a Bayesian C-14 study with Andrés Christen for several years now (I'm copying him to see if he can attend). I've nearly finished with the laborious but all-important sample selection stage. I have tremendous respect for your work, your lab, and the list serv you've maintained over these years with tireless effort. I still struggle to convince my Mesoamerican colleagues of the inherent worth of Bayesian modeling! Andrés and I are taking on the notorious Iron Age or Middle Formative (800-400 BC) calibration plateau in our present study. By significantly trimming those error terms we aim to demonstrate the value of Bayesian modeling for a crucial, yet ever problematic, Mesoamerican time period. The historic sequences of many sites throughout Meso will be tied into ours at Chiapa de Corzo, as it becomes the most finely divided, most accurately dated sequence for the Middle Formative era. If you know of any studies in Europe or elsewhere that have specifically addressed the Hallstatt Plateau, we'd love to read about them and cite them.

I have just started a PhD looking at the Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age or Earliest Iron Age (800-400 BC) in the Thames Valley in Britain. I will hopefully do some Bayesian analysis in my study, and would be very interested to read your findings using this with the plateau elsewhere.
