and some work on Ruby and Python Katas

Does this mean we'll need to bring our laptops?

If you want to, or you could be an advisor of sorts, as we'll end up pairing (most likely 2-3 rubyists to one Pythonista i would imagine)

Assuming you don't hand-write your code in a notebook so your
secretary can later type it into your mainframe at work, yes. If you
want to work with me in Manchester you will need your laptop.

(You'll need your laptop for the kata thing too, if that was the email
you meant to reply to ;)

Will, you work with directly with computers? How quaint!

My peoples people have people to do that for them. I wouldn't wish to sully myself*.

*I write .NET for a living, so this is about as far removed from the truth as you can get.

Since I started working from home [1], my secretary types
up the code in my notebooks onto punched cards, then our
carrier pigeons take them to the mainefrayme.

[1] Or I take my notebook & quill to the Coffee Shoppe
