Contributions: is it ok to strip whitespaces and convert tabs to spaces?

Are nltk developers OK with patches that strip extra whitespaces and convert tabs to spaces?

We generally try to follow PEP-8, so there should be no tabs used for
indenting NLTK code. A patch to eliminate these would be welcome,
