Hi Phil,

Thanks for responding to my other posts; I've been playing around with the NETLab Toolkit for a few months now and really enjoy it. I'm wondering however, is there a way to use the SoundControl widget to control the time of sound files? For a project I'm tinkering around with at Uni I've got a few sound files which are being played over the top of each other. I'm wondering however, would it be possible (maybe by inserting some actionscript?) to control the sound so that if SoundControl widget #2 starts to play, and SoundControl widget#1 is already playing, then would it be possible to move  SoundControl widget#1 to time 0:30 (or whenever) and then it continues to play from that point? I've tried using the Insert widget, and the IfThenElse widget, but I can't seem to get it happening. Any ideas?

Thankyou kindly

Philip van Allen

Hi Colours,

The current SoundControl widget can't do what you want, but I made a small adjustment to it, and am sending you an .fla with that new version. The .fla has some sample code in it to show you how to use the new code interface, which is startSound(startPoint, numberOfLoops), where startPoint is the number of milliseconds from the start of the sound.

Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
