Anybody know where to get hold of some GN-4 tubes for a reasonable cost?

Thanks,

Nick

There is an ebay auction posted after your message. Six for currently £40.

I don't think this qualifies as a reasonable price ;-) Nixie prices are really sky-rocketing... Good news that Dalibor is almost there to make his own Nixie tubes :))

I am still far away from making anything what could be considered a nixie tube ;-) I tried to make one yesterday, will write about it on blog soon ;-) But I keep struggling!

Keep up the good work Dalibor, soon every nixie tube is going to cost 10 dollars a piece!!

The somewhat ironic fact is that homemade Nixie tubes will be much much more expensive ;-)

I should have been more specific in saying that soon even the smallest nixie tubes will cost at least 10 dollars each! After seeing the price for some Z568M's recently, it's all gone a bit mad. If Dalibor can make tubes on that scale perhaps he can make some money! ;-)

Yeah, I know what you meant, Nick ;-) I am just saying that if you decide to pay homemade tools by the time it took to make them and take into account a reasonably hourly pay, then they will be rather expensive... But I am interested in seeing Dalibor's first Nixie tube attempt :)

I am also making small (!) progress, in a week or so I will have finally hooked up the neon tank to the system. I would love to spent all my time on this project, but I am also still at the university as a student, so I have to study ;-)
