Hi Istvan,

Here are some problems with NCC ver. 0.7.215.

Any help and solutions would be greatly appreciated :)

INSTALLATION

During installation, two errors are reported:
1. "Error creating shortcut: C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\NikonCameraControl\Nikon  Camera Control.lnk"
2. "Error creating shortcut: C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\NikonCameraControl\Uninstall NikonCameraControl.lnk"

I noticed that the target directory doesn't exist:
C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\NikonCameraControl\

Maybe it would be better to create the shortcuts into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ instead of a personal directory.

It would also be better to use the same spelling for the program's name in the two links.

DISABLE NATIVE DRIVERS (I'm using a Nikon D300s)

When I leave this checkbox unchecked (you recommend not to check it), NCC gives an application error message box about a class not registerd (see "Application Error.png").

If I click the button "Non", NCC closes immediately.

If I click the button "Oui", NCC doesn't close, but many buttons ans settings are greyed. My camera isn't detected.

When I check the box to disable native drivers, I don't get the application error message box.

Some buttons and settings are still greyed: (see "NCC DisableNativeDrivers1.png")
- LiveView button
- Mode setting
- Compression
- Focus mode

One setting has a list with some bizarre options: (see "NCC DisableNativeDrivers2.png")
- Exposure Comp. (values in the range 65.2>65.0 instead of -0.3>-5.0)

One setting has an empty list: (see "NCC DisableNativeDrivers3.png")
- Metering Mode

Many thanks for your software :)

Hi Istvan,

Thanks for your fast reply.

I followed your link, but I had first to use the tool "Genuine Windows Validation" before being allowed to download WMP11. So I first downloaded "GenuineCheck.exe", run it ant Windows answered that this "GenuineCheck.exe (version 1.9.42.0) freshly downloaded from Microsoft is out of date :-(((

Any hope to solve this problem ?

Sorry for so much annoyance.

Hi Istvan,

I just installed Windows Media Player 11.

If I leave the box "Disable native drivers" unchecked (as recommended), NCC does not connect to my camera. The sole difference is that the error message does not appear anymore.

Now I'm going to uninstall WMP11.

Thanks for your support.

If you check or unchecked the  "Disable native drivers"  you should restart the application to take effect.

I closed and restarted NCC after each modification. You can see
"Application starting" and "Window command received :All_Close" in the log
in the log file.

Hi, try this version https://dl.dropbox.com/u/40987577/NCC/NCCsetup_0.7.222.exe
I add some debug info, maybe i figure out what the problem, i don't know if the D300 have option to set PC connection to PTP,  not mass storage.
