Time required = I * e * COS (30degrees) * Log(s)^0.59 / h * p * L
Where I = intensity of sun’s energy = 1000 watt per square meter
Slope of heather canyon = 30 degrees
Density of ice (p) = ~90% of water = 0.9 g/cm3
S = varying wind speed
Etc. etc….
Plug in all the variables and shake them all up …and WALA:

The forecast for Idaho is all sunny days, just like here. Except that the temperature in McCall will consistently be slightly below freezing, with highs around 26 or 28ºF. There is no inversion there. The temperatures on the mountain are probably a bit cooler than in town, but in the same range. Sorry, no balmy beach weather in Idaho! But, the cold temps probably mean good, dry snow!Emilio
