MongoLantern 0.5 stable version has been released.

Dear Users,

MongoLantern 0.1 alpha has been released. This is the very basic very of MongoDB fulltext search engine with enhanced features and index based searching with tokens.

Features:

• Token based search algorithm
  
• Case insensitive Fulltext search.
  
• Different Search match mode.
• Field based search algorithms.
• Pre-built Index support

MongoLantern 0.5 Release Notes:

1.  Document & Field advanced algorithm added for more efficient queries and results. (Please note that the changes are fully backward compatible.)
2.  Stemming algorithm updated.
3.  Inbuilt Dictionary support enabled.
4.  LanternStats system enabled. It's still in alpha.

Where is the documentation? Ive upgraded form version .3 but it no
longer seems to work.

So I realized it's installing a lantern dictionary into the database
of terms. There should be documentation on:

1. How long does it take:
2. How to disable it

Is this going to be run every time?

documentation is added in the tutorial directory supplied with the
zip.

So I realized it's installing a lantern dictionary into the database
of terms. There should be documentation on:

-- Yes. There should be. I will create one and update it in next
release.

1. How long does it take: -- Dictionary contains almost 0.25 terms. So
it will take little time time add it to DB.

2. How to disable it -- currently there is no way to disable it. I
will enable the feature in next version.

There is no directory called "tutorial" in the zip file. I searched the net and found: http://www.slideshare.net/SougataPal/mongolantern-mongodb-fulltext-search-server

maybe this is helpful.

There are 242,279 terms in the (english only) dic.

 

I also want to try MongoLantern, but we need some documentation and/or example code.
