Strikethrough fields in card browser

In my card browser, I have an entire collection of cards that, though fine have every field besides Question, Answer and Tags with the characters struckthrough. Strikedthrough? whatever.  

What does that mean? I haven't seen these cards in some time.  Are they out of the rotation?

They are the cards you deactivated.

Oh, I get it.  

I thought that the card browser was independent of the [de]activated cards in the review.
