Hi,

I am the IT guy for my company and we are seeing a "mnemosynei386.sys" file showing up and we are not sure what it is. Is this something to do with this software?

I downloaded a few different versions and installed them and none of them had it as far as I could see, maybe a plugin or a version I did not try? Internet searches have not been forthcoming either.

Anyway, I am hoping it is related to your project in some way and am hoping you guys can clue me. All we can see on the PC's it is on is mnemosynei386.sys in System32 and a few registry entries loading it as a kernal mode driver. All Win7 machines. Any help would be appreciated.

This is not related to our software, I'm afraid...

Sounds pretty dodgy. No mention of it on the web, though - maybe a virus which appends "i386.sys" to random names, or to names of installed programs, so as to appear less suspicious?

If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest uploading the file to Jotti's malware scanner which might recognise it: http://virusscan.jotti.org/
