Hi,
I've just started using Mnemosyne and enjoying it.
However we are over 50 and would like to make the interface font larger.
I know how to change the card font. But I can't see anywhere that I can change the general size of anything else.
For example Show answer is in a very small font. The bar is nice and big but ...
Grade your answer is very small.
If you hover over any of the bottom buttons (0 - 5) the hover-over is very small too.
The Question at the top of the top box is very small
The Answer at the top of the answer box is very small.
How to change these??
Thanks
Greg

Hi,

That's not something that is handled by Mnemosyne itself, but rather
by your operation system (Windows, Ubuntu, ...).

Hopefully, you will be able to change something there, but if the menu
bar is big enough and the card fonts themselves too, that is probably
the most important.

Cheers,

Peter

If you're using Win 7, go to Start->Control Panel->Appearance and
Personalization->Display

It should give you an option to set the text to "Medium 125%". To the
left of that, you'll see an option to "Set custom text size (DPI)".

On my system, Mnemosyne is about the same font size as typical text
displayed by the OS. So, if Mnemosyne's text is too small for you,
you'll probably like a system-wide increase.

The problem with this is it is a system wide. So everything else suddenly looks big and other programs start doing funky wrapping and losing some of their text.
Isn't there a way to increase the font a little or give us a way to increase the font!
Thanks

Greg,

Have you tried Magnifier? It's a backdoor solution but it should work.

Hi Greg,

It's still a bit bizarre that parts of the UI seems to look OK, while others don't. Feel free to send a screenshot of the problem, so that I can compare it to what happens on my system.

UI font sizing is something which is not handled by Mnemosyne itself though, but by the library Mnemosyne uses, so I'm not sure there is much I can do about this.

Cheers,

Peter
