Large XML File Will Not Import

Hello,

I've recently downloaded the 20,000 Chinese sentence pack for Mnemosyne which comes in an XML file of course.

Whenever i try to import it into Mnemosyne the program becomes unresponsive, i'm guessing because the file is too big to handle.

I tried splitting the file into multiple segments but then Mnemosyne gives me an error that i am missing tags within the XML file.

Is there any way i can split the file without Mnemosyne giving me this error?

I assume this is with 1.x? In 2.x, this has been sped up considerably.
