Heya-

Just upgraded to Mnemosyne 2.1, and I can't see the normal mnemosyne menu up in the global menu ('file', 'edit', etcetera), and when I start up- I get this message,

"Uncaught exception!

OSError: [Errno 17] File exists: '/home/jonesy/.local/share/mnemosyne/default.db_media/1001 Most Useful Spanish Words' "

And it acts as though it's starting up for the first time. That I can't see the menu means I can't import my old .mem databases into the new format.

Did I get the wrong python dependency?

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks!

Oh, and while I'm asking-

Where might I find the old mnemosyne flashcards that were put up by site contributors back in the days of 1.2.2? The site didn't seem to have them, even if there was a Google Listing. Is it just current problems with Mnemosyne's hosting service, orrr...?

In the download section, there is still a link to the old site.

With the upcoming 2.1, we plan to convert all of these cards to the
new, more user-friendly import format.

From which version are you upgrading?

If you're upgrading from 1.x, there is no need to manually copy
directories around for import, everything should happen automatically

I'm also a bit surprised that the error message displays version 2.0.1.

Cheers,

Sorry, I accidentally knocked the old site offline during an upgrade to the main site yesterday.  It's fixed now.

Patrick
