Hi Peter,

Updated from Mnemo 2.1 yesterday. Windows 8. I'm running a Chinese language OS, if that matters.

Mnemosyne crashes every time I close the Add New Card dialog box. I get a "Mnemosyne has stopped working" Windows message and the program closes.

Please uninstall the old version completely, and then reinstall.

Cheers,

Peter

Yes, I had uninstalled 2.1 before installing 2.2.

Just now I uninstalled 2.2, reinstalled and restarted my computer. It's still crashing.

If you put your language to English, does it help?

Tried this on my own Win 8 machine, no problems...

Try also deleting the config file. Perhaps the new Qt does not like the
way the old Qt saved the size information of the 'add cards' dialog.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Sorry for delay in response. Tried many things, to no avail. Switched system to English. Installed Mnemosyne under a new user. Deleted the config file. Backed up my cards, then did a clean install with no cards or data from before. Still crashes every time I close the "Add Cards" dialog box.

I can confirm that this does not happen under Mnemo 2.1 (I reinstalled with no problems). The crashing persists under Mnemo 2.2 and 2.3pre.

Any other ideas?

Try this one, it's been built with the new Qt version that came out last week:

http://users.ugent.be/~pbienst/pub/mnemosyne-2.2.1-pre-setup.exe

If this does not work, we can always try to revert Qt to the version used in 2.1.

BTW, does anyone else have this problem?

Hi Peter,

Mnemosyne 2.2.1-pre works great with no crashing. Thanks!

Good to know, glad an upgrade rather than a downgrade fixed it.
