Red Hat would like to do an OpenShift presentation to the MLUG around LCA

Hi!

I'm a Developer Community Manager for OpenShift at Red Hat.  I'm based in the US, but have been invited to speak at LCA next month.  This will be my 4th trip to LCA, it's one of my favorite conferences.

OpenShift is a cloud "platform as a service" by Red Hat.  It runs on Linux, and supports Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, and JVM.

Because we are Red Hat, we are open sourcing it all as quickly as we can get things through business planning and legal issues.

As part of my trip, in addition to speaking at LCA, I would love to, the week before or of LCA, present at users groups that are interested in Linux, Red Hat, cloud stuff, Perl, Python, Ruby, and PHP.

Would you like me to present to your members next month?

Hi Mark,

Great that you'll be over here, but speaking on behalf of Linux Users
of Victoria, unfortunately we don't have a formal meeting in January;
the very obvious reason being we encourage our members to attend
LCA :)

If you are still around on the first week of February we could
certainly
make a slot available then.

Otherwise, perhaps we'll see you at the annual Penguin Picnic which
will be held on Saturday 21st of January in Ballarat.

Thank you for approaching us to present a talk. Our meetings are the last Wednesday of the month, that would be 25th January 2012. We cannot move the meeting to the week before LCA as most people go away and I'll also be way too busy to organise anything around that time.

I am however interested in your talk, as I believe many other MLUG members would be and if you are still around on the 25th Jan I would be happy to allocate some time for your presentation on that night.

I'll be going to LCA so I'll catch you there.
