Turns out, the 30 minute indoor cycling per
day didn't cut it as after a week, my lost
weight started creeping back up by a couple
pounds.

So, I'm now trying for a maximum of 800
calories per day. The first day, only got
down to 1,190 calories as I gave too much
insulin at 6:19 pm and had to ingest more
than I wanted to in carbs/calories.

Yesterday, only 790 calories. My NPH for
yesterday, 8 units, my Regular yesterday,
11 units, total of 19 units. My carbs yes-
terday = 79g, fat = 36g, protein = 35g.

I'm now back on my 5 pound weight loss,
will see in the coming days if my weight
loss improves. I'm still cycling 30 min-
utes indoor per day. I may try to up that
to -2- 30-minute cycling periods per day
if I see no steady decrease in weight ...

... from my 800-calorie per day diet. My
current BMI = 29.0, my previous BMI when
I retired, just shy of 27.0, so as you
can see, the sedentary life requires exer-
cise & diet to keep the weight from drift-
ing up.

As I could tell from my last clinical tests,
(see following link), not taking atorva-
statin + whatever impact my not exercis-
ing / not dieting had on my weight creeping
up combined to raise my cholesterol from
129 to 156, and my LDL from 63 to 91.
https://prohuman.net/clinicaltests.htm

Those both are in "normal" range, but the
increase is unwelcome, and I'm now back
on atorvastatin (low dose) at 5 mg/day
(half a 10 mg tablet) and will see in ...

... February if my exercise + weight loss
+ atorvastatin (low dose) improves (low-
ers) my cholesterol & LDL.

Summarizing my daily calories intake over
the past 9 days, and noting that just yes-
terday, I upped my daily indoor cycling
from 30 minutes to 45 minutes.

When cycling for 30 minutes, my glucose
would go down by 40 mg/dl or so but would
rebound within 15 minutes and go back up
if I didn't dose insulin to keep it down.

Yesterday, my glucose went down 60 mg/dl
but kept drifting down (no rebound).

Well, my weight loss stopped. The past couple
of days I've increased my daily indoor cycling
from 45 minutes to 60 minutes per day (in -2-
30 minute increments). Still, my BMI remains
at 27.9; my daily calories are, well, here's
the day-by-day report Dec 21 to 31:

Dec 21 585 calories
Dec 22 910 calories
Dec 23 1010 calories
Dec 24 855 calories
Dec 25 1280 calories
Dec 26 1280 calories
Dec 27 780 calories
Dec 28 740 calories
Dec 29 730 calories
Dec 30 1290 calories
Dec 31 1550 calories

As mentioned elsewhere, my hunger has increased
coincidentally or not after I started drinking
3-4 cups of green tea per day (no calories from
that) but my 27.9 BMI hasn't changed one iota
since Dec 20.

If my BMI remains constant at 60 minutes indoor
cycling per day, in addition to my trying to cut
back to no more than 800 calories/day, I may in-
crease my exercise to 90 minutes indoor cycling
per day (in -3- 30 minute increments).

Pro-Humanist FREELOVER, I got Insulinitis
which was caused by Insulitis at age 5
in March 13,809,999,948 (1961 CE) -- I
am using a Freestyle Libre Continuous
Glucose Monitor along with insulin injec-
tions (Regular up to 8 times per day, ...

... NPH 2 times per day), manually endeav-
oring to deal with glucose levels (with no
help from my pancreas) at all times, trying
to manually stay within the glucose levels
that folks without any glucose anomaly stay
within at all times automatically.

I switched from using an Omnipod insulin
pump, 1st used in January 13,810,000,001
(2014 CE), & a Dexcom G4 CGM, 1st used in
October 13,810,000,000 (2013 CE) in April
& May this year due to losing my job &
health insurance on April 11.

Those devices & the insulins I used (even
when I had health insurance) are consider-
ably more expensive than the insulins &
injections & Freestyle Libre CGM I cur-
rently am using.
