Hi Stan,

Firstly, thanks for writing this addin ... seems really useful for uploading transaction data.

Secondly, am having trouble actually making it work ... my bank isn't on the list of pre-defined formats, but wouldn't be too much trouble to reformat my data to make it fit. Would just help to have an example of a working CSV. Each time I try to use (for example) the simple date/desc/credit/debit format I get an error message (unsupported csv file format). Similar result when I try to use custom format. I suspect it may be due to the file structure, so it would  be great to have an example that works so I can troubleshoot.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Alex

Hi,

I do have an example setup for a custom importer if you search in the money dance forums.

Otherwise I have been thinking about taking screen shots of mine and put them out there for examples but have not yet.

Let me know if the md forum example helps or send the top 2 lines of your csv file (changed) if you want.

Stan

Hi Stan,

Thanks ... attached is a sample of the csv stucture (dummy data) ... the bank format has 21 fields by default, so I guess I have to manually delete some first?

I found the screen shots on the forum, but couldn't seem to find the sample csv file itself. I tried to follow similar approach, but it doesn't seem to recognize my csv format.

Thanks!

Alex

Depending on what you need, I did get it to work with having

Here is a doc on how to create a custom reader.

Can I use your example in my doc that I will put out there for
others to use?  I will be adding to this.

Thanks,
Stan Towianski
