Why does my replicator 1 pause mid print?

I've noticed mine doing it too.  It's very sporadic.  I'm printing over USB and I think the data flow must bog down and the system pauses for the data to catch up.  I haven't noticed any visual blobs like you're showing.  I guess it depends on where in the print it happens...  Would printing from SD make a difference - better of worse data transfer?

There are known issues printing over USB... Try printing from the SD card and see if it goes away.

I was also having similar issues when printing over USB. switched to SD card for any prints that take more than 20 mins (most of them) and the problem went away.

On my Cupcakes, I get those bumps IF I have temperature reporting turned on in Replicatorg.  Turn off temperature reporting and the bumps go away!
