Hi everyone,
You may not be aware that Gill sadly and quite unexpectedly passed away a few days ago after many months of fighting her illness.
She will be sadly missed by all of us who knew and appreciated her well.
I attach an email exchange I had with Sally where you can find her husband’s details if you wish to send your own condolences. I will liaise with Sally to organise flowers on behalf of the group if that’s OK with you.

Of course. I'm so glad you contacted me. I wasn't sure how to email the whole
group on googlemail.
Gill's
daughter emailed me on Monday to let me know Gill had died on Sunday night. (I
was due to have a lesson with Mohie and then pop round to visit Gill
afterwards.)
Although
Gill was weak and poorly from her treatment, she was (as ever) positive and
strong so her death so soon was unexpected for everyone and her family are still
in shock. Gill's daughter said she'd let me know as soon as they've thought how
they're going to organise the funeral. I'll certainly make sure we all know
what they decide so we can say goodbye.
I
don't know the details, but I know all her family were with Gill and I imagine
she was so frail that she passed away in her sleep.
In
the mean time, I'm going to pop a card in the post to her family, and
I'll sign it from the all her friends at the guitar group to, but I'm sure her
family would appreciate it if anyone else wanted to write.

I am very shocked to hear the news about Gill. Thank you for including me in the message news and would like also to contribute to flowers for her.
I missed the group as I have been away for a while but share my thoughts with you , thinking about Gill in these sad moments.
