Can't get camxes to work

I know about the online version but I want to get the .jar file to work.  What version of java do I need? It doesn't work with jre6.  I want use it to experiment with fu'ivla and I don't think the online one is up to date on what the legal fu'ivla are.  Idk... I really have know Idea what I am doing to be completely honest, but camxes doesn't work so please help if you can.

Yeah, sorry, I did that on another topic...  I am on a windows 7 x64 system running JRE 6 build 31. I downloaded the JAR camxes from the link from lojban tiki: < http://users.digitalkingdom.org/~rlpowell/hobbies/lojban/grammar/index.html >.  My understanding was that it was compiled and should work as is with a double click.  I double clicked and the spinning wheel pointer came up like it was opening and then nothing happened.  I checked to make sure the file was associated with the javaw.exe and it is.  I went into properties and made the file unblocked, it still didn't work.  Do I need to change something in the manifest or do I need a different jre version?  Or will it just not work on my system (not that I can figure out why)?

This is a repeat of my reply in the below-mentioned other thread.

I've never tried double clicking on that jar file, not sure what it
does in that case. camxes is a command-line program, so you must
feed it the input before running it. That I do from the
command-line. I'm on a Unix machine, you may need to localize to
your experience.

You'll need to open a terminal and get to the correct working
directory. I can't help you do that on a w32 machine, I'm not sure
how.

You'll want to type something like this:

echo ".i ti xu drani" | java -jar camxes.jar

where ".i ti xu drani" is the Lojban you wish to parse, camxes.jar
is the filename relative to your current directory, and the rest
is what one does on Unix that probably has some parallel on w32.

The command to invoke java with a specified jar file may be
different on w32 as well. I hope that is enough for google to
get you the rest of the way there.
