Hi!

I'm about to start a whole new project on the Kay Framework. I followed Kay for the last Year (i discoverd it as a replacement for appengine-patch).
I'm wondering how's the commitment on it. I was posting a patch for the latest 1.6.0 error and I saw a message of Takashi on it just few hours ago but i also see little activity on the repos.

What do you think?

Paolo,

It's hard to answer your question but I suppose the best answer is the
current status of Kay is what it is. Currently, both Takashi and I
have been busy with work and our personal lives and haven't been able
to contribute much. We are always looking for more patches and
developers to help.

I see.
I'm wondering who's using it now. Are you using Kay yourself?
I'm asking this because part of the success of Django (besides the great overall quality of course) is that the developers actually use it for their daytime work.
Is this the case of Kay or is it just a side project just for fun (with great results :D )?

Currently those who are developing Kay don't really use it for their
day jobs so it is pretty hard to find time to do development on it.
There a quite a few developers that we have learned are using Kay in
their work. One that we learned about yesterday was Social Lunch
(http://www.social-lunch.jp/). For us it's just a side project but for
some users it's a part of their work. We would love if there were more
developers willing to help develop Kay that work with it in their day
jobs so check out the issues list and send us some patches. After a
couple patches I'm sure we would be willing to give you direct commit
access. :)

Ok, let's see what we can do :)
We're starting the new project on py27 branch that still don't work (preparse error importing jinja2utils).
