Hello everyone,
My colleagues and I are interested in collecting data on what flowers hummingbirds drink from in the wild. Ideally we want to know what species of plant each hummingbird species is using, and when and where. Do you have any suggestions on how we can organize the observations so that we might have an id for the hummingbird and also the plant? Might we put the plant id in the comment or tag? Is there a way to keep them linked, but also ask for help identifying either or both?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think it's a neat idea to be able to 'tag' multiple species in a photo, but then you'd need to have a separate record for each species occurrence.  Maybe linking the occurrences somehow would work better?

Sorry, this one got buried. There's no formal way ID multiple species
per observation, or to link observations. You could encourage people
to use a tag, like feedingOn=Salvia or something. I have some code
that does something like this that I've had on the backburner forever.
Hopefully I'll get to it at some point (if any enterprising coder
wants to take a stab at it, please let me know).
