The order of episodes of some TV shows can be different on DVD than
when it was aired. For example, the "Firefly" show has different
"aired" and "DVD" episode orders:
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=78874&seasonid=15791&lid=7
On that page, at the bottom of the episode list, there are links to
switched between "aired" and "DVD" order.
I have ripped the Firefly DVDs with Ripit + Handbrake, and named the
resulting files "Firefly S01Exx", where "xx" corresponds to the
episode number in DVD order.
However, iFlicks retrieve the metadata for the episodes in "aired"
order, which doesn't match the order in which I have ripped them.
Obviously, I could rename the files so the episode numbers in the
filenames match the "aired" order before feeding the files to iFlicks,
but I was wondering if there was a built-in way to tell iFlicks which
episode order I want to use when importing metada from thetvdb.com...
Thanks,
Pascal

Do you have an update on this topic? There are still a few shows such as Firefly where the DVD order was different than the aired order, causing files to be improperly labeled in iTunes.
Thanks!
