I upgraded to the new paid Growl because the free version was useful. I assumed the new version would do on my Mac what the iPad does-- show FaceBook posts and News items and disappear when I left the Home Screen. Instead if I want to see the new Tweets and so on when I return to my computer I must close each one individually-- there should be a Batch Close setting. It does not work for FaceBook at all. I am disappointed.

What do you mean by close each one individually? You mean on the rollup window, or that you have a line of notifications along the side of your screen?

Growl itself is a notification system which requires that other application use it to notify you. So if you would like Facebook notifications, then I would recommend looking at an application to do that for you. Trillian is the first one that comes to mind, but I haven't tried their Facebook integration.
