Can't update from 1.2 to 1.3--App Store: All apps are up to date

I purchased Growl 1.2 from the App Store. When I performed a clean install of Lion (10.7.2), I installed Growl from the App Store, from scratch. A couple of days later there was a notification that Growl 1.3 was available. However, the App Store tells me that, "All apps are up to date." It also clearly shows that Growl is installed.

Does anyone know what's up with this?

By the way, I don't have any errant older versions of Growl installed in ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ .

I'm confused, since 1.3 is the only version we've ever provided via the app store.

Where did the notification come from? Growl?
