I've been using Growl for years and since this last update if I close my MBP 13 (retina) and return later often the hardware growler notifications appear but then Growl crashes leaving the hardware initialisation notifications on screen until I force close the program.

I'm using the Black Glass theme and Hardware growler in parallel.

Any ideas or known issues?

Cheers

Neil

Hi Neil,

Which version of Growl, HardwareGrowler, and OS X?

Can you send the crash logs?

Hi Chris,

Growl is 2.0.1, hardware growler is the latest (can't see the ver number for this one) and I'm on OSX 10.8.2

How go I get the crash logs?

All I could find related to Growl is pasted below, there doesn't seem to be any system dumps related to the crash that happened again today:

Any further news on this crash? This is happening regularly now.

You didn't send any crash logs. We can't do anything until you provide that.

Thanks Chris,

I'm new to Mac OS so was having problems finding the report, I think I found a 'spin' report which I assume is what is happening as if I hover over the Growl icon I just get the spinning 'beach ball'.

I hope this helps, can you let me know if it's right or if you need something else?

Cheers

Neil

This helped quite a bit, we're looking into it.
