Using a brand new Macbook Pro (Mid 2012), fully patched Lion. Latest Growl from the Mac App Store. came home from work to my laptop being super hot and looked at the activity monitor to find growl using over 900 megs of real memory !!What the heck?--

By "latest Growl from the Mac App Store" what version do you mean specifically?Which display style are you using?

I'm having a similar issue. No rollbacks as I have that turned off.Growl 1.4 from the App Store using Starwl as the theme. Only 500MB of memory used for me, but over 90% of CPU and some apps that used growl would HANG for a long time before their notification would come through.Fully up to date Lion 10.7.4 on a mid-2009 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM. I've attached a sampling from before I killed the process.Keith
