Hi, this is a problem that has been bugging me for a while. Growl consistently repeats old notifications on a lot of applications. For example, in twitter, I get a lot of notifications for direct messages and mentions (from months ago), but the twitter client itself knows better and doesn't show them as new. Also in Sparrow, when I get a new mail in one account, I get notified of the new mail + 2 more mails in another account, although there are no new emails on that one other account. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the conflict apps, no success either.

As you can probably guess this is very annoying. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and also removed the app with AppZapper, with no success. Please someone can help me troubleshoot what can be going on?

Thank you very much for your help!

The twitter client is awesome in that it makes using twitter easy. That said, it doesn't remember state like you think it does. Indeed every time I launch twitter, it shows me the list of dm's, etc etc. Other clients do not do this.

On the sparrow issue, I've seen that before, but not recently on the newest version from the app store. Make sure that you're up to date there first. :)

I don't think removing Growl is going to help here.
