Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
Great input on Noel Night! I think we are a go for Jeff and his bike, the controls system demo demo, and photos on our experiment results to date. I will be at GG for Noel Night also.
I was thinking of bringing in a flat screen monitor to make the controls system and photos a little easier to see than just on my laptop. I don't know if it would be dark enough to see a projector, but I also have a screen and projector that could be used. Have any plans been made on where to stage this?
I'm intrigued by the worms idea for kids. Thinking about that, the coolest thing I have seen in Marsha's worm factory is when we had a banana that had gotten too far gone to eat, she put the whole thing in. The next time I saw it, there was a swarm of worms in banana shaped formation covering it so you couldn't even see the banana. It was very cool and recognizable. I don't know how active the worms are being in their new home, but maybe we could plan our lunch on Friday to provide some interesting composting to kids on Saturday. Also, if we do show off the worms, where should it be located so that it doesn't cause too much of a bottleneck in the greenhouse?
Any other brainstorms on kid-type things during the holiday break?
