How to control the number of items on the x axis?

As you can see there are too many dates on the x axis.  Is there a way to specify the number of items on the x axis?  Thanks.

When I open the link I see no dates on the x-axis, so I'm not sure what you mean.

If you are referring to the number of grid-lines, then currently you cannot control it for a date x-axis.
