I'm using Fusion Tables data to feed my charts and I recently noticed that all of the axis information has disappeared in Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE.

I use jquery tabs to hide the charts. You can see an example here (works in IE 8, doesn;t in FF, Chrome): http://media.hamptonroads.com/media/content/pilotonline/2011/10/workingAgain.html#

The chart loads the bars correctly, but the axis info/tooltip doesn't work. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Jon,

It seems that your drawViz8 function is failing to get data, and the query response contains says:

  1. message"Could not parse query"
  2. reason"internal_error

Turn on browser debugging and stop at errors in order to see this for yourself.   I am not sure this explains why the charts that do show up have no axes, but an error in the normal flow could cause unexpected results, interrupting normal completion of the charts.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply Dan. I didn't see any errors on this page (below), and the same problem occurs. Would it be my tabbing that breaks the axis display? They still work fine in Chrome and FF if they aren't tabbed.

There is something in your CSS that is messing with the charts.  Remove the CSS, and everything works fine.  Looking deeper, your ".css-panes div" style is matching divs inside the chart, change that to ".css-panes div" (divs that are a direct child of a css-panes class element), and the charts work properly again.

Yes, that was the issue. Thank you so much!
