Hi,

I wonder what is the future of the Safe Browsing Lookup API?

The documentation says it's an experimental API and it is in the Labs. So it can be easily discontinued. So I wonder if I can rely on it or I have to implement the full version 2 API if I want my application to reliably work with Google Safe Browsing data?

P.S. The Lookup API is more than enough for my app.

You can rely on this. I'll see if we can change the documentation to make this more clear.

Thanks Garrett,

I've just replaced my v1 client with the Lookup API client and began to test it. Looks a bit slower (probably because of the HTTPS) but otherwise works fine.

Thanks for the reassurances, Garrett.

Say, just curious - when was the GSB Lookup API launched publicly?

Thanks.

We announced it in May when we deprecated the v1 protocol
(http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/2011/05/safe-browsing-protocol-v2-transition.html).
