Hi,

I have an OpenLayers application using google maps as background layers . It has worked splendid until this morning, where a dialog started showing up on every Google Map Update (map load, map zoom, map panning, etc).

The dialog says this:
Map Data
Imagery ©2012 , DigitalGlobe, GeoEye
Also see attached image.

After this happened, i have also added an API key to the API, but it did no good. What's happening, anyone knows?

Best regards,
Hawk

I confirm that the only way to remove the popup is extend the
stylesheet with

div.olLayerGoogleCopyright,
div.olLayerGooglePoweredBy
{
display: none !important;
}

OR
You need to switch to version 3.2 with sensor=false

I did the latter :)

You shouldn't be hiding the copyrights or the Google logo: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/terms.html

If the copyright control is showing when and where it shouldn't, please post a link so we can take a look.

Word has it that Google updated their Maps API last night.  They merged the Premier and Google Maps for Business licenses.  The fix is to explicitly request version 3.6 in your map requests.  The API is updated constantly and they are currently updating 3.7.  You should reference a stable version explicitly like 3.6 rather than the generic version 3.  Then, test your app with the latest version and upgrade on your own schedule.

Thanks for the info, I run both V2 and V3, (v2 on xtrakk.gpslogik.se) (v3 on xtrakk3.gpslogik.se). Have not noticed any changes. Anyone has any more info? I don´t want the maps to stop working just like that. They work perfectly fine now but I got a little worried by your mail.

Best Regards

Henke
