.pac-container element no longer generated as a sibling of the input text field

It used to be that a div of class .pac-container was generated as a sibling element to the input text field, but now it's being generated near the bottom of the HTML file.  Did something change in the Google Places API?  Why did this happen?

In the latest release the container was moved to the body so it would work better cross browser.
