Hi all, i find this error with a functioning google map (API V2), i would not like update to V3 because i having dependency with jquery.maps and this don't work with V3.

Error: Google has disabled use of the Maps API for this application. The provided key is not a valid Google API Key, or it is not authorized for the Google Maps Javascript API v2 on this site. If you are the owner of this application, you can learn about obtaining a valid key here: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/v2/introduction.html#Obtaining_key

Any suggestion?

Hi,

One thing for sure is google hasn't disabled API v2 though it recommends that we migrate to v3.7.
I too use to get below error message when things go wrong. One posibility is tat you might not be passing the right key value. we have three domains so we are dynamically generating KEY value for each request, during which some times they KEY wont get generated and for some environmental issues. Another possibility is that this error use to happen when some times google service fails. It use to happen some times and it gets resolved by itself.
Else you might possibly reached the usage quota.

Guess you will find solution there.

YOURKEY is not a valid key.

What do you think I could do with it? I don't have control of your
domain where it should be working, and it won't work anywhere else.

People do copy-and-paste things like YOURKEY from examples into their
own pages, it has been seen several times.

As the system works ok for thousands of other people, the best thing
you could do is share the URL to your problem page so that people can
take a look at it to help you.

documentation was not up to date with latest URL syntax, by looking in
the source of example i got the latest syntax. And yes sorry, API key
is in the source anyway - i was working with Facebook API the same
day, and those keys are private; so i didn't think before writing on
here :)
